It also performs well in our cooling tests, but we're not a fan of its gimmicky polygon handles and the crisper bins are a bit flimsy. Bespoke is an option that makes the RF23M8090SG stand out. It allows you to personalize your refrigerator using removable colored panels. There are 11 different colors, from soft pastels to more vibrant hues, and four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be personalized with photos or text making the fridge a personal touch point that can match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign. The LED lighting can be altered to a different color which is a nice option. And the refrigerator's interior is finished with a sophisticated finish that reduces smudges and makes cleaning a breeze. The only negatives to the RF23M8090SG are its somewhat congested beverage center and a bit of a learning curve in opening the door-indoor feature that houses a water pitcher and a dispenser. You need to look for an unmarked lever on the underside of the door halfway across, and once you have it the lever, it opens a second door within the refrigerator that houses the docking station for pitchers along with the water dispenser as well as two shelves for drinks. The 6.8 cubic-foot freezer compartment is large enough to accommodate a large amount of frozen foods, and it features an amazing slide-out drawer system that allows you to access the food you're looking for without opening the whole compartment. The freezer also has a butter-bin style compartment to store small items, as well as a large capacity drawer for storage to store larger quantities of frozen food. Our heat maps show how the temperature fluctuates minute by minute. The butter bin in the orange region at the top right is particularly warm during our testing period. This might not appear to be a problem at first however, the fridge is spending the majority of its time at 32 degrees. It's also worth mentioning that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model. This could be a factor for some buyers. But the real problem here is that it's just not a particularly great fridge, and the absence of top-of-the-line features and robust construction make it difficult to recommend over more expensive options in this price range. This Frigidaire fridge is identical to the stainless steel version that you may see in the local appliance store. It's a great option with a brushed finish that looks great and is resistant against smudges. However it's not offering much to differentiate itself from rivals which are more feature-rich and less expensive. However, if you're looking for a low-cost counter-depth French door refrigerator and do not have the money to spend a lot on our top choices, then the FGHC2331PF is worth looking into. It's got enough storage for many families, and does a decent job keeping food fresh. Even if it's not an energy-efficient model, it's considerably less expensive than our best-rated models.
